About the Team

Join our vibrant and dynamic State, Local, and Education (SLED) team at Nutanix! Our team is located across various regions and is dedicated to identifying and matching technology opportunities with customer business issues and objectives. The Sales Engineering team consists of over 800 customer-focused technical sales professionals who excel in collaboration and expertise. We act as trusted consultants to Nutanix sales, customer success teams, business partners, and customers alike, fostering a culture that emphasizes teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

You will report to the Director of Systems Engineering, who emphasizes mentorship, guidance, and a supportive environment for team members. The leadership style prioritizes fostering a culture of continuous learning and development among team members. This role is completely remote, providing flexibility and promoting a healthy work-life balance. There is no specific requirement for you to go into an office, allowing you to effectively perform your duties from any location.

The role involves travel requirements of up to 25% of your time, predominantly within your territory and for various event-based opportunities. Being prepared to travel is essential to foster relationships with customers and to participate in critical events where you can showcase Nutanix solutions.

 

Your Role

  • Demonstrate and articulate the value of Nutanix solutions to influence customer purchasing decisions and drive business transformation.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop account strategies, customer personas, and tailored solution proposals.
  • Perform hands-on configuration and sizing of Nutanix solutions, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, acting as their trusted technical resource.
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback to enhance Nutanix offerings and customer experience.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and executing detailed action plans to meet deadlines.
  • Execute flawless proofs of concept, including the physical installation of hardware in data centers as needed.
  • Develop technical expertise in virtualization and enterprise applications to support various customer environments.

 

What You Will Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on technical aptitude with advanced virtualization and/or enterprise application knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate solutions effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and execute detailed action plans
  • High level of personal and professional ethics and integrity

 

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 165,600 and USD $ 248,400 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
